The optic mounting system looks interesting, otherwise another striker pistol. Oh well.

A high capacity, full size modular striker pistol that requires no plates and has interchangeable back straps. If they keep it in the $500-$600 range I’ll buy it.

Hey @xdman, thanks for the video. When I saw the mags for the Echelon I thought it looked pretty close to an xdm mag. So in the video you showcased the echelon mag in the xdm but not the xdm mag in the echelon. I assume the xdm mags will not function in the Echelon then?

Yeah the XDM mag will insert most of the way but runs into the disassembly bar on the Echelon. I am going to do some experimenting and make it fit to see what it takes.

Ok, just got done looking at one at Vances......looks better in person then the pics and videos, range was to busy to give one a try though, waiting for the newer shop at home to get one in and they have a range to try guns before you buy, just like Vances does. Still think Xdm Elites are hard to beat, thats why I own 2 now.......so I just bought some ammo and cleaning supplies today....

It’s the best looking pistol they’ve produced since the XD Mod 2.

If I wasn't totally invested in the full-sized XDm 9mms I'd strongly go to the Echelon but my 5.25 XDm 9mm's check all my boxes.
That being said the only other "extra" ploy 9mm I'd consider getting would be another P-10C since I already have one plus the support gear.

I’m kicking around a lot choices, and not limiting myself to 9mm. I’d actually prefer another .45. Not a Glock guy either but if they made a G30s with a slide cut for a dot I’d check it out.

I invested in the Beretta APX platform, but they don't support or really push it. I think I like this more than the APX and P320 (which I am not a fan of). I'll wait to see if Springfield and the aftermarket supports and pushes it like they do the P320.
Think I'll hold out until the next gear up program to see how things go before I ditch my investment and make the switch.

I'm not going anywhere near putting a dot on a handgun since it adds bulk & weight, but I'll go with them on long arms where, I believe, they're more suited. & enhance effectiveness.
If I bought another P-10C that's optic ready, I'd keep using the fixed sights.
