This section will focus on team building tips and recommendations for the Special (SP) Arena in Goddess of Victory: Nikke. We highly recommend reading both the “Mechanics” and “Meta Overview” sections to at least get familiar with some of the concepts or jargon that’s gonna be thrown around in here.

Common SP Team Comps
Currently, it’s relatively common to find SP Defence comps that follow a structure similar to this:
- Jackal + Scar teams (3RL, different buffers, 2RL, 2.5RL)
- SAnis/Alice stall teams (SAnis/Alice + Rapu Noah Biscu)
- Throwaway team with whatever the person wants (Privaty SG spam, 5 highest CP units, Makima + SG spam and 1-2 “weird” picks…)
Remember that if you’re attacking these teams, you can always skip the toughest team.
Common Scarlet Jackal Team – “Blueprint”

Pretty standard Scar Jackal teams (2-3RL depending on flex pick and use of burst gen cubes).
- Good against: SG-heavy comps, teams without a revive, Noah or Noise.
- Weak against: Teams that can survive Scarlet’s burst (need to match speed), especially if they run single target DPS.
Common “Stall” Team

Very defensive team with a really strong DPS (3-4RL depending on where they use their other clip RLs).
- Good against: ST DPS stall, teams that can’t deal with both the DPS and Rapunzel.
- Weak against: Scarlet teams that can deal with Rapunzel, faster 2B teams if Rapu is highest HP.

One of many filler 3rd teams. SG spam with Privaty for stun + single-target damage (3RL).
- Good against: Teams that don’t protect P5 or really slow teams.
- Weak against: Makima/Biscuit + Defender in P5, Scarlet teams where she’s constantly hitting , stall/tanky teams…
Less Common SP Team Comps
Since every team can be countered, people will also tend to swap their Defence line ups with different teams to try and throw off the opponent. Here are some other teams, with a mix of “good teams with slight alterations”, “less common teams that work really well if you lack 1/2 units” and “PvP knowledge checks”:

- Weak against: Scar and even other nukes with enough buffs can wipe, Rapunzel and XAnne can also revive your highest Atk unit if you run a slow team (4RL).

Bad team on paper, but usually has really high CP due to having strong PvE units that are highly invested (pretty much never bursts).
- Good against: Teams that have a lot lower CP.
- Weak against: Emma + Jackal (Scarlet can also be used), undying mechanics to protect P1/P5, decent teams with not a huge CP gap.

- Good against: Teams that have a lot lower CP, teams lacking damage
- Weak against: XAnne’s heal debuff, buffed SAnis + Rosanna
SP Arena Team Comp Recommendations
- Speed requirements: Ideally all 3 SP Arena teams should be at least 3RL, faster is nice if it doesn’t sacrifice a good comp or makes other teams too restricted to suboptimal batteries.
- 1 DPS tends to be enough for damage, the rest of the team should try to hit your speed requirements, help your DPS either in damage or survivability and try to fend off as many important Nikkes as possible.
- For Attack you can run more variety since you get to pick your matches (plus you can always skip the team that gives you the most trouble), Defence is much more punishing and fewer Nikkes are good in Defence.
- Once again, the best Defence teams are the ones that actually hold, you may find that for your specific situation you do better with slightly “worse” units or unconventional/niche picks, experiment a bit to see what works best for you.
